How we handle your information

What we collect

What you send us

When you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you enter. We do not ask for anything else.

Please do not send medical or financial details through the form.

What is recorded automatically

Our hosting provider stores this site on its servers, and those servers keep logs. Each log entry records the visitor’s IP address and browser, the page requested, and the time.

We also use Google Analytics. It is described under “Cookies and tracking” below.

How we use it

• To reply to your message and discuss the work you asked about
• To keep the site running and secure
• To see which pages visitors read, so we can improve the site

We do not add you to a mailing list. We do not send marketing email to people who write to us through the form.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone for advertising.

A few companies handle information for us so the site can work:

• Our website host, which stores the site and its server logs
• Our email provider, which delivers the messages sent through the form
• Google, which provides Google Analytics and Google Search Console

We will also release information when the law requires it, such as in response to a court order.

How the contact form works

The form sends your message to us by email. The website does not keep a copy of it.

How long we keep it

We keep messages for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of our business correspondence. Server logs are kept by our host for a limited time under its own schedule.

Cookies and tracking

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site, such as which pages are viewed and how visitors arrive. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as your device type and browser, along with your approximate location. It does not give us your name or email address.

Google explains how it handles this information in its privacy policy. You can stop Google Analytics from recording your visits by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.

We also use Google Search Console, which shows us how the site appears in Google search results. It does not place cookies on your device.

We do not use advertising cookies on this site, and we do not let other companies track you here for their own advertising.

Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. This site does not currently change its behavior in response to that signal.

Your choices

You may ask us what information we hold about you. You may also ask us to correct it or delete it. Send the request through the contact form or by mail to the address below, and we will answer it.

California residents

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising across other websites.

Children

This site is written for businesses. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.

Security

The site uses an encrypted connection, so what you type into the form is protected on its way to us. No website can promise perfect security, and we do not.

Links to other websites

We link to websites we have built for clients. Those sites belong to their owners and follow their own privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
